Thomas, The Coasters, and opened shows for The Who, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Neil Diamond, Sam the Sham and many more. He has also played guitar for Percy Sledge and Freddy Fender.
In 1970 Steve moved to Austin with Tommy Dardar (Big Daddy Gumbo) and united with the blues band, Brazos Caine. Upon returning to Houston, he helped form the funk band, Bump City. Song writer/singer Connie Mims (Wheatfield) asked Steve to join her band, The Senders, along with Jack Saunders and Jerry Chambers to do her collection of original material in 1982. It was then onward to play with the legendary Roy Head for a year.
Steve lent his guitar skills to The Whips, the force behind the bawdy Miss Molly. After that in 1994, Steve united with the rhythm & blues review, The Green Onions, featuring Ronnie Hall. Steve has resided for thirteen years with Hall and The Green Onions.
